Over the last couple of weeks we have had the pleasure of taking care of some Warfarin patients who travelled from far and wide to sample the delights of the Wild Atlantic Way (thank you Star Wars) and to enjoy the scenery around this fabulous little country ( they didn’t come for the weather).
These patients sought us out to help them manage their monitoring while they are away from home and their regular Warfarin Clinics. The beauty of our clinic is that they could walk in on Tuesday or Thursday and get their results within a few minutes.
Our visitors from Australia and the United States were extremely impressed by our convenient, professional service and our famed Irish charm. We hope to see them again next time they visit. All it took was one phone call to arrange an appointment with our Pharmacist.
Peace of mind is very important when you are in a strange country and you have a health concern. With Warfarin, a change in diet is especially important. Many visitors abandon their varied diets and opt for our 90% potato and Guinness diet! Our excessive fondness for this particular tuber and the many different ways we eat it (mashed, roasted, baked, boiled…) doesn’t leave much room for the greens. This can have a huge effect on Warfarin levels.
Close monitoring is particularly important to avoid a bleed or a blood clot. And we can do that for you at Pharmacy First Plus.
Do you have a relative due to visit Cork and you are aware they are taking Warfarin? Make sure they are aware that Pharmacy First Plus are at hand to take over the monitoring during their stay.
You may be British, Australian, European or American. Whoever you are or wherever you are from we can provide you with the peace of mind you need to enjoy your trip to the maximum. I can also offer some travel advice free of charge. Now that’s a bargain!
